Charlie Pascoe

Vice President

After obtaining a Bachelor of Science (Hons) from the University of Melbourne, Charlie began his career in wildlife and threatened species management in 1984, working across eastern Victoria, with stints in Antarctica and the sub-Antarctic.  In 1995 Charlie joined Victoria’s then National Parks Service as Park Planner for the West Coast District and, later, Environmental Planner for Parks Victoria’s West Region.  In 2002 he moved to Bright, where he performed a variety of roles, including Alpine Grazing Manager, Alps Environmental Program Manager and Alps Flood Recovery Manager.  Following a restructure in 2015, Charlie became Manager Regional Planning for Northern Victoria, which extended from the northern edge of Melbourne to Lake Hume and the Mallee.  His key skills include project development and delivery, program management, partnership development, threatened species and community management, invasive plant and animal management, fire and other emergencies planning and management, and visitor experience planning.

Charlie retired from Parks Victoria in 2024 but continues to undertake volunteer work for a range of organisations. He enjoys bushwalking, camping, cycling, four-wheel driving, mountain biking, paddling and enjoying nature in national parks and other protected areas in Victoria and elsewhere around Australia and, occasionally, overseas.
